About the Books
Heirloom Cities is a collection of coffee table books that explore cities through the lens of food, culture, and community. Each title brings together essays, photography, and artwork to document how a city eats - from its home kitchens and street corners to the communities that shape it.
Our books are a collection of photographs, essays and recipes and while each of our books includes a few recipes from local communities, the focus is on storytelling. Through the books we are documenting the people, histories, and everyday moments that define a city’s food culture. The intention is to offer a deeper, more contextual understanding of a city beyond monuments and museums.
We currently offer Mumbai and Kolkata.
Yes, Heirloom Cities is an ongoing series. We’re continuing to expand across Asia, with each book focusing on a new city and its unique food culture.

The books are designed as premium, large-format editions, printed on high-quality paper with a focus on both visual and tactile detail. The books are 9” X 11”.
